In the studio on a rainy day in San Francisco, I sat watching the squares of the sidewalk begin to change as rain started to fall. Drop by drop and increasing in intensity, the story of the recent past, seen in the dust and grit, soon washed away.

The wonder of water and its ability to wash away, to refresh and make anew, inspired this series about capturing tiny moments of beauty in the process of yielding change.
